My dearest Chris
I have just come in and find your aunts are writing to you so will write a few lines, and promise you a longer letter soon. I intended sending one today but ???? ???? writing that morning. I am so glad to hear you and Alec are getting on so well, and hope the weather is a little cooler than when you wrote, but I should prefer the heat to the intense cold. It does not suit me at all. I feel so weak, and my XXX troubles me very much.
I do miss your dear Uncle so, the days seem so long and dreary ???? ???? he used to be so good and kind to me, and God taking him so suddenly has made a fearful shock and so many have pulled ???? ????, that I always dread getting letters, eight since February last year and he may ???? ???? alone.
I hope you got my last letter, you do not say anything about it.
Edie is staying with us. She is very well . Archie is at Lancing, perhaps he may be here today he stays 20th September while in London ????. Your Father has had influenza rather badly but is able to go out again I am glad to ???? ???? before your poor Aunt died, and also to the Funeral that ???? ???? the cemetery ???? ???? so happy and quite ready to go when God called her, the house is so dull without her ???? two lively ???? ???? a great difference.
Mr Scott Adelaide died in August. Poor man he was only ill a few days, he has left his family very badly off, they have moved to Wakerville Adelaide.
I have not time to write to Alec today, he shall have a letter next time. How does he like his house?
Chris has gone to school. Aunt Julia talked of going ???? her ???? next ???? and does not yet know what she is going to do. The Molisons talk of mpving but they ????

I had a long letter from Mary dear girl. I am always glad to hear from her. I have not any mourning paper here so decide9?) it.
