My dear Chris
I have not the remotest idea of who I mentioned to you to call on except it was Mr ??????? You must go and see them if you can find time to say something of yourself.
I have so much to do about any more business just at present. I cannot find time to give much attention to your wishes and really do not know how your wishes can be carried out in a satisfactory way.
My wish is for you to stay where you are for some time until I can see clearly how to help you. The life on a station or in about any capacity on shore
would be very different and not half so pleasant as your present one.
You must consider well before you make a change. I will write you to ???
with more time.
Your affectionate Father
