My dearest Chris

I think you are in my debt but as you ???? intend writing tomorrow. I will forgive you this time and send a letter too!

I hope you and Alex received the letters I’ve sent to Townsville, but as you do not mention it in the letters I fear they are still waiting for you.

We are so glad to hear both you and Alex are getting on so well. I should indeed be pleased to see you Chris dear and I trust you may soon be obliged to ???? ???? ???? If you ???? ????

???? now. He spent two days at Anerley. A fortnight since and Mary has been staying a fortnight with us. We are so glad to have her. Her ????. She seemed so happy. She is growing so tall, is still thin and I think very much like Edie. The others are all well and growing very much. They are all nice children. Elsie is getting a big girl and is very clever.

I am thankful the winter is almost over – it has been so long and fearfully cold.

Aunt Guss was very ill, I had bronchitis badly too. We are both better and able to go out again. We do not often get letters from Chris. He writes ???? to his father but nobody else.

If you know the ???? ???? little girl. We heard from Edie the other day, she seems very happy at Horsham, and certainly looked well when she ???? at Christmas.

Jean is still at home. Jessie is at Newcastle.

I have not much news to tell you. Nothing very startling is going on at present and I dare say the others will tell you the rest of the news. So with kindest love the ???? your uncle ???? all ???? to Alec and yourself each ???? dearest Chris.

Your affectionate Aunt

Elizabeth P Bisset

PS

We heard from Mary the other day. She is well and very happy.
